Santa Cruz Christian Artists Network
We believe that God is the author of beauty and artistic expression (Gen. 2:9) and has given us talents that can be used to share His beauty and love through interaction with his creation.
SCCAN was founded for the express purpose of
- Glorifying God through His creation.
- Giving Christian artists a place to connect with each other.
- Bringing joy, comfort and healing through the arts.
- Getting God’s message of salvation and grace to the world.
- Encouraging artists to invest in God’s creation.
- Share inspiration and resources and a common ground.
- Helping artists develop a sense of legitimacy in their artistic endeavors.
- Participate in a sense of community.
- Promote more art in the Church as an expression of worship
GOALS
Our goal is to create a platform (the network) to allow Christian artists to connect and share resources and support. To allow God to build a network of people (an extension of the Church community) to better serve Him through art and community.
MISSION STATEMENT
To promote interactions between artists and organizations dedicated to artistic endeavors geared toward glorifying God.
To help them use their talents to further the sense of community in the body of Christ.
To promote all schools of art in the Church as part of our worship.
To use the talents God has given us to bring His message of Grace to a dying world. Allowing God to use us, through our talents, to gear his message to the hearer.
